Chelsea Clinton was asked today to comment on the newest flap over her mother having said ( and written) that she was under sniper fire in Bosnia while traveling there during her husband's presidency. CBS broke the story that it did not happen. However, Chelsea was there with her mom on that trip and when she was asked today what she remembered, she stated:
"Well sir, I think that my mother’s on record as having talked about this and I support what she said. I mean, I was there as well and I’m so honored that I was there."
But I'm being unfair. What else could the young woman say? (I'm sure this line was pre-approved by her mother's campaign people.)
