"Is" a monster?

Samantha Power, a key foreign policy advisor to Barack Obama, quit today after she was caught calling Hillary Clinton a "monster" during a book tour in Britain.
"We f***d up in Ohio," Power told the Scotsman newspaper. "In Ohio, they are obsessed and Hillary is going to town on it, because she knows Ohio's the only place they can win," Power was quoted as saying.
"She is a monster, too -- that is off the record -- she is stooping to anything," Power said.
In addition to calling Clinton a monster, Power made other unflattering comments about the former First Lady.
"Interestingly, the people in her innermost circle seem to not mind her; I think they really love her," she said.
Power said Clinton has looked desperate in her recent TV appearances.
"You just look at her and think: Ergh. But if you are poor and she is telling you some story about how Obama is going to take your job away, maybe it will be more effective. The amount of deceit she has put forward is really unattractive," she said.
Power afterward issued a statement through the Obama campaign saying she was sorry, but Clinton's backers pounced in a conference call, and her resignation came within two hours.
"I made inexcusable remarks that are at marked variance from my oft-stated admiration for Senator Clinton and from the spirit, tenor, and purpose of the Obama campaign," Power said when she resigned.

I may just be an old watchdog, but I've met a few female dogs. As for Hillary's innermost circle...well, let's see. Her NH campaign chair accused Obama of selling drugs; her drug-using husband Bill has repeatedly used race baiting comments about Obama; and she herself has used fear mongering (remember the picture of Obama in Muslim garb?) for gain. It's about time someone said it. Yes, she IS a monster. But wait, I guess it all depends on the meaning of "is" a monster.
